Seroquel is an oral prescription medication manufactured by AstraZeneca. The drug is used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia and acute manic episodes in adults who have a condition called Bipolar I disorder. It has also been prescribed off-label for many less severe psychological disorders and for other disorders in children.

Recent studies seem to indicate that Seroquel has serious side effects and poses a health risk to particular individuals and groups. Seroquel has been linked with blood sugar disorders (such as diabetes) and pancreatitis.
