Alan Gross
Al is a founding partner of the law firm and is a native Washingtonian. He received an A.A. degree from Montgomery College, Rockville, his B.S. degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and his J.D., cum laude, from the Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. In addition to other honors at Howard, he was a Special Articles Editor for the Howard Law Review. Al is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia – in all State and Federal Courts therein.
He is a member of the Bar Associations of Maryland and D.C. and a member of the U.S. Federal Bar for D.C. and the 4th Circuit. Professionally, Al is also a member of the Montgomery Co., MD Bar Association where he has served as co-chair of the workers’ compensation section. Al’s practice is concentrated in representing injured workers – primarily, law enforcement officers throughout Maryland. For his entire legal career, Al has spoken publically about his practice and has authored and presented seminars to his clients on their Rights and Responsibilities under the Maryland Workers’ Compensation law. He has also served the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD as a court-appointed mediator in workers’ compensation and personal injury cases for more than 20 years and is frequently requested by both Plaintiffs and insurers to mediate cases - even prior to litigation. He also has been assigned an A-V Rating in Martindale Hubbell.
Al has been married for over 32 years and has two children . In addition to his legal career, Al runs marathons, long distance cycles for fun and to raise funds for various charities and volunteers at Food and Friends in Washington, DC.
